We have been back for about two weeks and obviously I am already thinking about the next trip. And the next one and the one after that……
Just keeping my fingers crossed that Rick is in to it as well. And in the meantime, what will we do day in and day out, since this is the first time ever that neither one of us has to be somewhere on a daily basis. It is a strange feeling. I’m not so good at sitting still-but I will try to practice doing that for my husband’s sake. Otherwise I may make him crazy.
After three months of eating in SO many restaurants, we came home and had some good home cooked meals. We did have to go to a couple of our favorite places-Greek food at Athen’s, our very favorite place in Tucson….and of course Molina’s Midway for Mexican food-I’ve been going there since elementary school. We also went out to Saguaro Corners to see some friends of ours-Chris & Richie perform. They are so good to listen to! It was a fun evening with our friends Tom and Lauri. The food there, however is kind of ho-hum, but cheap…..Now that the food portion of the re-entry has passed, we decided to do an herbal cleanse for 10 days. It is an Advocare program. I am doing the whole 24 day challenge, but if Rick did the whole thing, he would look like a P.O.W……It is not quite as difficult as I thought it might be, but I do miss my wine and my Margarita on Friday’s at Molina’s. Now is the time to avoid restaurants like the plague!
It took us a ridiculous amount of time to unpack the car and put everything where it belonged. I may have overpacked. I am really quite good at packing normally, but to travel in a big car with a huge trunk that begged to be stuffed with things for any and every eventuality made it too easy to overpack. It seriously took days to do. We go to the gym every other day. And we are doing all the boring little organizing things around the house. Ugh. We started in our office. When it cools off a bit more, or when we decide to get up at the crack of dawn, we can start doing some yard work. But I have a feeling it will take a little more to keep us entertained and involved. I suggested we take Italian classes. You can imagine what Rick’s response was to that one. Lol! We also have plans to do some work on a little commercial building that we own on 1st Avenue, next to our old office. If you know of anyone who wants to rent a small space for cheap, let me know!
Our first planned trip will be at the end of September. We are going down to Mexico for a week of beach time with our good friend Bill, who has a great house on the beach in Rocky Point. We are leaving the day after my Advocare program is over. I am concerned. I don’t want to undo what I hopefully accomplish……
Finally got to it Marion. E-mail is easier Talk to you soon X0Helga
